30°C-35°C for best growth. Below -10°C may cause frost damage.

Function:

Used predominatly as outdoor plant. Promoted as a landscape plant. Popular as bonsai plant.

Habit:

 It must be planted in very well-drained soil and does have some pest and disease problems, particularly white Aulacaspis scale.

Prefer full sun or outdoor shade. Prefer bright light when growing indoors.  It will very quickly cover the roots, trunk, and leaf undersides, sucking the juices from tissues.
